Description
Twice a year the sun sets in a dramatic fashion in New York City when it is perfectly aligned with the Manhattan east-west grid. This phenomenon is referred to as Manhattanhenge. This view overlooks 42nd Street from the Tudor City Overpass with a brilliant view of the Chrysler Building.

Spectacular image, Vivienne. I had never heard of Manhattanhenge but I am aware of this phenomenon at Stonehenge so the title fits perfectly. Well done. f/v ;-)

Thanks Theresa! It's become quite an event here over the last few years. People love to see the sun set like this. :)
